Code:

    timer 100, [display]

[display]
    locate 10,10
    if mode = 0 then
        TextToDisplay$ = "Flashing Text Sample"
    else
        TextToDisplay$ = space$(len(TextToDisplay$))
    end if

    print TextToDisplay$

    mode = not(mode)
    wait

Angelo2449,
did you run Stefan's code?
If provides a flashing line of text in a mainwin.

The only way to make text flash in LB
is to repeatedly draw/clear it.
It requires timer.

Of do you mean something different with " flashing text"?
Then explain.

Now, it depends on where you want flashing text - here it is in a mainwindow (console-type program) ,
it might be in a GUI control (label, textbox, texteditor)
or graphicbox / graphic window.
But anyway, "flashing" involve draw/clear loop.
