Hi, ok, first, you're probably going to say, "Just use Audacity," for this, but audacity requires sight, someone to look at a display for this function, and I'm blind. I sometimes come across mp3s that have a few minutes of silence at the end of them, but I'd like to mix them into a playlist for massage clients. Or, I get an MP3 that is a whole set of songs, all clumped together. I'd like to be able to copy, say, from point 02:30 to 8:40 from one mp3 to a new file. And, I'm fine if I first need to make a wave file of the MP3 if that's better. I have utilities that will do that. I know there is a MCIsendMessage command for copy, and Paste, and Cut, but I'm not sure how to get them to work. I do know how to play MP3s using aPI calls, and how to start play at a certain time in the MP3, using "play music from "... You may post here and/or e-mail me at raymcal@att.net. In addition, I did write code for converting sprirtes to alpha files, so they can be put up, with transparent portions, onto a regular screen, if anyone wants it. smiley anyway, thanks for your response.
