Hi all. I am using the LBBROWSE.DLL from Alyce Watson. I love it and I have written several programs around it. The one thing that I have noticed is that it brings up IE7, I also tried the ATL demo and it also brings up IE7. I am running windows 8.1. Is there some way to bring up a newer version of IE. There are so many things I would like to add to my program if I could use a newer IE. AM I missing something or what? BTW my program is a heavy duty graphics program and I use IE to manage the graphics. It is a really nice way to not have to worry about loading and unloading graphics. I hope I have been clear enough. Thank you in advance.

After months of looking I finally resorted to this forum. I went back and did another check and found the answer right off.

https://weblog.west-wind.com/posts/2011/May/21/Web-Browser-Control-Specifying-the-IE-Version

Basically you put the following line as the first line after the <head> statement,

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" />

and this will cause the embedded browser to take on what ever version of IE that you have. You should test yourself.

Just thought I would let you know.
