xx Web page on Esp8266 problem SOLVED!!
« Thread started on: Sep 23rd, 2015, 12:14pm »

GOOD NEWS!! I finally sorted out the CSS solution and the LIBERTY BASIC solution for the ESP8266 is now being worked on!!

I recently was able to get my ESP8266 to broadcast a local web page with centered text and some lines.
The problem is trying to put the inline CSS into the Arduino IDE.
I am in contact with the person who made the lesson and he did show me a solution that would allow me to display, say a program on my web site, but no CSS solution as of yet.
There are sites where you can put a BMP image that you can link in your ESP8266 code and it will display that image.
Possible solution is: Make a BMP image that IS your web page design.
Any external links can be done either above the image or in between many images.
The Liberty basic TOOL solution I am working on will not be worthwhile until I find a solution for the CSS issue.
I COULD make this simple solution but it would be easier for me to just give you a link.
I DID get permission from the author to expand on his work ( its open source).
His example is VERY bare bones example and doesn't do anything more than explain 2 ways how to make a web page on a server with some text and a linked image on the ESP8266.
I noticed it does have large portions of the Arduino ESP8266 library examples in it..

Since this is a Liberty BASIC forum it would be good to refocus on working Liberty BASIC code that drives or runs hardware. We know the Arduino is cool and so too other input output hardware. What readers want to see is working examples of Liberty code.

I was going to make a tool that you could design your web page in Liberty Basic and then generate the finished code to insert in the Arduino IDE.
You do make a good point that basic should drive the ESP8266.
I am not that advanced yet.
My tool would be made with Liberty Basic.
It would help you create a server with the ESP8266

Would it be appropriate to put it in Open Source when it is done?
