xx Copying text into an input shows but not copied
« Thread started on: Jan 26th, 2017, 3:40pm »

Just noticed that the following code fails if I have text in the clipboard and paste it as reply to an 'input'. It is shown as having copied, but not passed to the variable!
(I'm working in Linux/Wine so don't know if it works correctly in MS)
Not reported on the bugs Wiki..

Copy the example remmed-out text. Run the program and paste it as input. I get the 'default' response despite the copied text being on-screen as input.. not as I'd expect.

Code:
input "Source text ( hit <Enter> for default text) = "; source$
if source$ ="" then source$ ="default"
print source$
print "Ended."
end

'Foolishness, foolishness, all is foolishness sayeth the Lord.

It always not-worked this way.

New users regularly thumble over it.
