xx upgraded to lb pro
« Thread started on: Aug 29th, 2011, 07:20am »

I have ungraded to latest LB Pro. I have made a new folder for my program, copied the run time library , renamed "run404" ect.
This new program does not run the same as when I am running it in the interpreter. I noticed "Lb Pro" and "Lb Pro_original" in the directory list. Does it matter which I use.

Thanks
Texas Pete

The "original" version is there just in case the runtime gets renamed, overwritten or lost. So you can still get back to it without reinstalling. It should not have any impact which runtime you rename.

What exactly do you mean when you say it "does not run the same"?

Rod, I have a simple highlight routine which highlights the objects. The routine has been working fine all of this time. When I built a new folder with the updated runtime it changed the way it worked . Now it is off . I will try to build another folder with older 4.04 runtime from my previous version and see if that works. I will get back to you with the results.

Thanks
Texas Pete

There is no difference between the runtime engine of the regular or the pro edition.

Since the LB runtime does not include any version information in the executable, you may have used the v4.03 runtime engine.

To see which runtime engine you use, display the contents of the Version$ variable.

There are some things not working in the distribution package, but in the IDE, for instance branch labels in a row without any code in between are trouble.
