xx Program stops on first line....
« Thread started on: May 4th, 2015, 4:33pm »

Dear great folks:

Am running Liberty BASIC Pro v4.04 on a Windows XP!
Has anyone ever had this problem before? Was adding about a hundred lines of code to a long program (up to 2000 lines), and now the program refuses to run!

Whatever line is at the top, EVEN A BLANK LINE, or a comment line, it is highlighted, and the program stops on the first line, therefore. What could cause that?

All help/suggestions appreciated,
Yshua Calkins sad

Dear Folks:

Happy to report that the debug function worked on a Windows 8 computer and found that a duplicate subroutine had been entered in a different location! This prevented the program from running.

Thanks for being there, all the same,

Not sure about LB Pro, but in LB when this occurs there will be an error message in the status bar at the bottom of the editor "... sub xyz is already defined"

Often this message is hidden off screen, be sure your whole IDE window is in view when you try to debug.
