xx Missing Keyboard key
« Thread started on: Jan 11th, 2015, 04:57am »

This simple trick I expect has been created elsewhere. I have been given a few very old laptops for free via the local Freeecycle Group. All are still good enough for simple jobs such as for beginners. One has the 7 key missing, so I concocted this simple program just to COPY the 7 and & characters into the clipboard ready for PASTE into any text. It displays just long enough to reassure the user the characters are ready to paste.

To test it just use Paste in your LB program.

Gordon

Code:
' Missing Key
    nomainwin
    WindowWidth = 60 : WindowHeight = 100
    open "  " for text_nsb as #t
    #t "!trapclose [quit]" : #t "!font fixedsys"
    #t "   7 &"  ' Enter chrs needed
    #t "!selectall"; : #t "!copy";

    'To Confirm now in clipboard
    timer 800, [go] :wait
[go] timer 0

[quit]
    close #t : end
