Friends:

I've just uploaded a new LB/JB game called "BattleSpace". This game is a 3rd-person, 2-D, top down shooter, where the "person" is actually a Tank engaged in combat against enemy robots, or eBots. The purpose of the game is to vanquish the enemy while directing the tank to the "Primary Objective", a wooden bridge. The shipping version of the game has seven different levels. (Confusingly, each level is also called a "BattleSpace".) Turn up your sound when you play BattleSpace, because each level has its own rock soundtrack in midi format.

The cool thing about BattleSpace, however, is that the data for each level resides in an external text file with the extension *.bspace. So, players can actually edit existing levels or create their own new levels. I've included a separate help file which explains the format of a BattleSpace data file, and how to create a new one from an existing *.bspace file.

When you unpack that zip archive, make sure that you maintain the folders. The BattleSpace program is counting on finding the support files within those folders.

First of all, I would like to say that once again, I am impressed! The game was pretty fun. One thing that I think could be improved though, is the turret rotating. It felt a little awkward using a key to rotate it, I think it would be cool if you used the mouse aim (the tank would shoot to where the pointer is) . Good job!

WOW! This looks AMAZING! I'm going to download this and see what it's like!

EDIT: Pretty good. The movement is awkward, and yes, turning the turret using the keys is a bit weird.
