'this is the current working directory, usually where you keep your project
print DefaultDir$ = "C:\Basic\Project"

'this is the directory that liberty.exe started in, a protected Windows directory
print StartupDir$ = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Liberty BASIC v4.5.0\"

'this is the resources directory for .bmp .wav tutorials and sample code, it is hard to find
print %appdata% = error

It is hard to find because you can't use the %appdata% system variable directly in Liberty. Could we
have a Liberty system variable AppdataDir$ that allows easy access to the user files?

print AppdataDir$ = "C:\Users\Rod\AppData\Roaming\Liberty BASIC v4.5.0\"

We can debate the trailing \ smiley

See Run at startup for a function to get any of the special folder locations.
